wplogin

There are times when WordPress denies a user or administrator login to panel. There are many reasons that can cause login problems, but some are more likely and some are less likely. It is about them and their solutions that we will write in today's article. You see the message "error: cookies are disabled or not supported via the browser you are using. you must enable cookies to use wordpress." or "on website There are technical problems. Please check the e-mail of the administrator websites, to which instructions were sent.
" this article is for you.

1. WordPress Login - Lost or Forgotten Password

This is an obvious but common problem. If you regularly change your password to protect your pagesyou can easily forget or lose them. In this case can be use the built-in password reset function in WordPress. However, sometimes there may be a problem delivering an email with the correct password renewal link to the user's mailbox. You should then use the following advice:

1.1 You have to check if you are logged in to the administration panel on other devices: computer, tablet, phone. If so, you can go to the profile page and set a new password.

1.2 If the previous method does not solve your problem, the last option remains - make changes to the database through phpMyAdmin (before We advise you to back up your database before making changes). Follow the next steps:

  • In the phpMyAdmin panel, select the database websites and open the table wp_users
  • Among all users pages (in column user_login) to find your user name (your login) and proceed to edit that line.
  • Find the poem user_pass and enter the new password in the Value field. Make sure that the encoding field is set to the meaning MD5. You can find the encoder here: http://www.miraclesalad.com/webtools/md5.php
  • Save your changes.

Now you can log into your admin panel using the new password you set in phpMyAdmin.

2. cookies when wp-admin doesn't work

error: cookies are disabled or not supported by your browser. you must enable cookies to use wordpress.

Cookies are small files placed in browser directories that store information about a user's actions on a website. WordPress requires the use of cookies when logging in. If cookies are disabled, you will not be able to log in to the administration panel.

First of all, you should check whether Cookies are enabled in your browser.

3. how to log into wordpress when you have a problem with plugins

This is another problem, linked to the activities of plugs. It is caused by an incorrect plugin update or when there is a conflict between the plugins installed on website.

In this case you need to access the website files that are located on the server. You can use an FTP client for this (e.g. Filezilla). Among the files on the disk, find the folder wp-content => plugins and rename it in any way you want (Fig. 1).

Figure 1: Renaming the plugins folder

Since WordPress will not read the installed plugins due to the renaming of the default directory, they will all be disabled. At this point, you will be able to log into the admin panel. To figure out which plugin was causing the problem, enable them one by one and see if the problem persists.

4 The problem with the theme

If you are using a theme that has, for example, its own login page, you may have a problem getting into the admin panel. The reason for this phenomenon is that the theme is not compatible with the current version of WordPress.

Yes like in case of plug-ins, using an FTP client, go to the folder wp-content => themes and rename the folder of the currently used theme. After performing this action, WordPress will change theme on the default (twenty-seventeen).

5. wp-login.php file is corrupted

If the wp-login.php file is corrupted or has been deleted it will also cause the panel login problem. Therefore to solve this problem:

5.1. Create a WordPress backup before you edit/delete the wp-login.php file.

5.2. Go to hosting and in the root folder containing the website files remove the wp-login.php file.

5.3. From wordpress.org download the latest version of the system. From unpacked archive copy wp-login.php file and paste it on hosting (into this folder, where the previous login file was located).

5.4. Open a new wp-login.php file and find the line that starts with a comment redefining user_login.

5.5. Replace the following line

$user_login = $user_data["user_login"];

at

$user_login = $user_data->user_login;

and save the changes to the file.

6. redirections

WordPress URL identifies the location where WordPress is installed. If address this does not coincide with the current domain on which your websiteThis can cause all sorts of problems, including the inability to successfully login to your WordPress dashboard. Such a problem may arise if you have moved your site to another domain or subfolder and have not made the necessary changes to your site options or database.

There are many ways to solve this problem. We will show one of them - we will make changes to the file wp-config.php. So we will go to the site files (via FTP client) and go to the main folder. In this file we add:

define('WP_HOME','http://example.com');
define('WP_SITEURL','http://example.com');

Instead of http://example.com we enter the address of our domains.

Of course it is possible to change addresses wp_home and wp_siteurl  directly in the database via phpMyAdmin. They are located in the table wp_options.

If you experienced any other problems while logging in to the site, you can share your experience in the comments
